What is The Twisted Network?
The Twisted Network originated when it became clear that another site where many of us enjoyed playing and “hanging out” was going to cease to exist. A few members decided to create a new community for those who shared their love and respect for the game. We want to make clear, that tN is NOT a clan, but a COMMUNITY. That simply means that we look out for each other and strive to set a high standard in these forums and wherever we play.
How many game servers do you run?
We currently have 5 servers running. 3 of them are TFC Based, and 2 of them are TF2 Based. You can connect to our servers at any time from this page from the Quick Connect box at the top right of every page.
What are the rules for playing on tN servers?
Our server rules can be found either on the MOTD of the server you are actually joining, or by going to http://thetwistednetwork.net/page.php?file=rules.php (forum rules are also located under that link)
What if I break one of the rules?
Depending on the severity of the rule you break. You may be warned, slayed, kicked, or banned for any period of time. A ban on one server means a ban on all servers related to that specific game. Again, you can see general ban times for different rules on the link in the previous question.
What if I see somebody else breaking the rules?
Sometimes if it is something little, generally you wont do anything. If you see a player constantly breaking rules, or being a big problem to the server, you can report them by using the Player Removal Request tool found at http://thetwistednetwork.net/page.php?file=addprr.php - Be sure you have the players name and SteamID handy. An admin will take care of it as soon as possible.
I got banned, what can I do about it?
The easiest answer for this is simply don't break the rules. They are easy to find, and players shouldn't have a hard time following them. However if you did get banned, and would like to plead your case to the admin that banned you, you can submit an unban request. Just find your ban in our ban list, view the details, and click the link at the bottom to request an unban.
*Admins DO NOT mess with other admin bans, unless they are asked to by the admin who did the original ban. Do not try to go over somebodies head.
I like the community here, how can I join?
Our community is by invite only. However you can do some things to help you get noticed. These include checking our forums regularly for any news and info. Also, by posting relevant player removal requests to help keep our servers clean, and obviously, by frequenting our servers often.
Are all tN| members admins?
No. Some people who wear our tag are simply members. In order to be an admin, generally you will be a member for 6 months (at least) before being eligible to become an admin. Members do however have higher access then non members.
What is the council about?
The council was put in place so that major decisions would get made on the opinions of what is best for the community, and not just what is best for the person in charge.
Who is the head of tN?
Simply, nobody. If you want to speak to the "head" of tN, you're going to have to contact one of our council members. That's as high up as the chain of command goes.
