OFFICIAL SERVER RULES
At the Twisted Network, we are certainly happy to help provide a number of servers for you, our guests, to enjoy. We certainly have grown over the past years or so, to over 1000 registered forums members. Many more visit the server daily, to enjoy this community.
Unforunately, due to the high level of traffic and a constant array of new guests, we are recieving a lot of "Problem Players". To keep our current members happy and to take care of these problems when they occur, we are emplacing certain steps for admin enforcement.
The player no longer will receive the previous standard of a warning, then a slay, then a kick, then temperary ban.
The following things have been established as being not allowed/tolerated on our servers. Breaking any of the below rules can result in a kick/ban/or alternative punishment. Admins reserve right to by accompany warnings with slays, buries, or kicks at THEIR discression. Your use of our servers is acknowledgement that you have read and agree to follow our rules.
Server Rules
The following actions will result in a permanent ban
Cheating
-Using a 3rd party program or .dll file to gain an advantage over the game and other players
Pipe lagging
-Using the demos pipe bombs to lag the server
Member impersonation
-Wearing the tN tag without permission, or representing yourself as a tN member
The following actions will result in a permanent ban after warning
Flag/Key holding
-intentionally holding the enemy flag/key or any other objective to hold up game play
Door/ladder blocking
-intentionally blocking an exit or entrance from your team
The following actions will result in a ban (min 1 week) after being warned
Team infecting
-purposely infecting your teammates
-entering a respawn area when you are infected
Team shooting
-intentionally disrupting your teams play by shooting at them rather then the enemy
-shooting a teammate when they don't want to be shot at
-some team shooting is tolerated, if it is part of strategy to win the game and both people involved are ok with it
Team Blocking
-intentionally standing infront of a teammate to block their line of sight, or interfere with their gameplay
Entering enemy spawn
-going into an area in which an enemy can spawn, which is also protected by turrets
The following actions will result in a ban (min 3 days) after being warned
Excessive language (text or mic)
-sexist comments or remarks
-racist comments or remarks
-cultural comments or remarks
-religous comments or remarks
-derogatory comments or remarks
Abrasive comments
-Offensive comments or remarks geared towards other players, members, admins, council, or the twisted servers
Disrupting gameplay
-commenting or acting in a way that takes away from the overall enjoyment of the game (being good at the game doesn't count)
Nail exploiting
-throwing a nail grenade into a roof or wall
Map exploits
-taking advantage of flaws in map design - like throwing nades over walls
Spawn camping
-attacking numerous enemies as they come from a protected spawn
-infecting enemies as they come from a protected spawn
Spawn spamming
-attacking the enemy spawn when nobody is there
Useless teleporters
-building a teleporter that is useless for your team - ie backwards teleporters
The following actions will result in a ban (min 1 day) after being warned
Advertising
-using our servers to recruit for your clan
-advertising another game server
AFK
-being absent from gameplay for any period longer then 5 minutes
Message spamming
-repeating text or speech multiple times
-playing music or sound clips over the microphone
* Any repeat offender will get 2x the ban length they normally would
* 3 bans and you are banned permanently
It has been determined that tossing 1 nade (any nade) at or towards a spawn is okay to do when passing by. This means tossing a nade infront of the door for people that may be walking out. It is not okay to intentionally throw a grenade inside an open spawn door (for instance on 2fort's secondary spawn point).
It has been determined that the use of EMP grenades (engineer's secondary grenade) is permitted to be used underneath ceiling areas to detonate objects/players above, unless there is a respawn area directly above where you throw your EMP.
It has been determined that the use of a script that allows a spy to disguise quicker then normally is not against the server rules. Although it may offer a slight advantage to those who use it, it is no different then using an auto-reload script.
Other situations may arise that are not covered in the above list. The bottom line, if an admin asks you to do something, be respectful and do it. If you feel it is unfair, then leave the server and post about it on our forums.
Spectator mode has been disabled for the public due to people going afk in spectator mode.
If the teams are uneven, you may be switched to an alternative team to even them. Players from the bottom of the list of the team with the most players will be moved first.
OFFICIAL FORUM RULES
While users are encouraged to use the forums as a place to relax and chat, there are some guildelines that you should follow when posting.
1. Do not flame other users for their opinions, ideas, or views
2. Be respectful while posting
3. Do not post advertisements on the forums without prior approval from the council
4. Do not use sexist or racist or offensive language while posting
5. Some forums have specific rules or guidelines stickied at the top, please read these before posting
6. While the use of signatures is encouraged, please keep the width at 450px or lower
7. Do not post nude or inappropriate images, or links to images on the forums.
8. You are permitted to have one account registered on this website, unless otherwise approved by council
Non compliance with the above may result in removal of posts, images, or in severe cases, suspension of your account.
